From Your Head to Your Toes: Skincare for Your Body

When you hear the word “skincare,” you’re probably thinking about products that go on your face. But skincare for the rest of your body shouldn’t be neglected either. Here are my top tips for keeping your skin healthy and glowing from head to toe.

  1. Wear sunscreen on your neck and chest—not just your face. Sunscreen on your face is a must everyday, but don’t forget about other areas. Unless you’re wearing a turtleneck and hat, chances are other parts of your body are exposed to the elements too! Slather that sunscreen on your ears, chest, neck, etc to fight skin cancer. 

  2. Dry Brushing is your friend. Using a dry brush (this is a good one) to exfoliate your skin before showering will give you glowing skin and help fight body acne.

  3. Moisturize after the shower. As soon as you get out of the bath or shower, slather on some extra moisture. Of course, I always recommend AJP Body Oil :)

  4. Sleep with a humidifier. If you find your skin is always extra dry, try sleeping with a humidifier on and let your skin soak up moisture while you sleep!

  5. Don’t forget about your feet and hands. The skin on your hands and feet sees a lot of use! Pamper that skin with a soak, scrub, and then some extra moisturizer or body oil.

  6. Treat yourself to a massage. This is a fun one! If you can, treat yourself to a massage every now and then. Massages increases blood flow which helps with cell regeneration as well as improved circulation.
